CK:690 Outdoor Measurement kit with 3G/GPS

The CK:690 is a weather protected outdoor kit that is designed for use with the optimus green sound level meters. The kit allows the optimus to be used outdoors over long periods of time and in all weather conditions.

The kit has been designed to allow the measurements from the sound level meter to be downloaded directly into the NoiseTools software over a 3G/GPRS connection. This type of connection removes the need for a modem at the host PC and allows data to be securely transmitted over the internet.

When the kit is connected to NoiseTools, the instrument appears as if it was connected directly using the USB connection. This allows every function and feature of the optimus to be accessed remotely.

Features

The weatherproof case contains the sound level meter and has space for a CR:515 or CR:514 acoustic calibrator and two ZE:100 battery packs. One battery pack is supplied, as standard, with the kit.

The case also contains the 3G/GPRS modem and the GPS units along with their respective antenna.

There is also a dedicated section that allows the outdoor microphone and cable to be stored when not in use. This means that the entire CK:690 kit (excluding any tripod) can be stored in one case making transport much simpler.

Power for the sound level meter and outdoor microphone is provided by the internal battery packs which have been purpose designed for the CK:690 and CK:670 kits. In the CK:690 kit, a single battery pack will typically provide 6 days of power, although this is dependent upon the amount of time that the GPS and 3G modems are active.

A second battery pack can be added to extend the operating life to 12 days and for longer operation, an external power supply of between 12v and 15v can be connected. A range of cables are available to allow external power to be connected.

The MK:170 outdoor microphone has an integral 10m cable and provides full weather protection for the microphone capsule. The windshield features a unique coating which allows water droplets to run off, reducing the effects of attenuation in wet weather conditions.

The CK:690 is an enhancement of the CK:670 Outdoor Measurement Kit.

CK:670 Outdoor Measurement Kit

The CK:670 Outdoor Kit has the same weather protection as the CK:690 but is supplied without the 3G/GPRS modem and the GPS unit.

This kit is ideal for outdoor noise measurements for up to 14 days (with the additional battery pack) and where the measurements can be downloaded directly into the NoiseTools software over USB.
