The requirements may be to take a number of measurements at pre-defined points around a site or operation with the noise data recorded. A handheld sound level meter such as the Optimus Green is ideal. For longer measurements, an outdoor measurement kit is ideal as it allows the sound level meter to be run for up to 14 days without external power.
It may also be useful to measure and store information about the frequency content of the noise and even record the actual sounds using audio recording.

Available as both Class 1 and Class 2 instruments, all of the Optimus Green instruments include data logging as standard with a 4GB memory and provide the facility to record audio during measurements.
All of the measurement data can be downloaded to the NoiseTools software for analysis and reporting. All of the Optimus Green instruments can be used with an outdoor measurement kit which provides weather protection for both the sound level meter and the microphone.
